Metro Video Systems designed, engineered and installed a large-scale CCTV system for the commuter train system. The system was designed around a fiber optic backbone for analog and RF video signals, voice signals and RS232 data signals. The system includes 57 cameras located on the platforms from Oceanside to San Diego.
Metro Video designed the system for uninterrupted service with a redundant fiber ring. The signals are transmitted over fiber optic cables to various hubs and then combined to be digitally transmitted to the control center.
